On April 15, approximately 60 seniors from Atlin, Faro, Tagish, Teslin and Whitehorse descended on Teslin's recreation centre to enjoy a fun-filled day of activity.

The seniors competed for top honours in various sports of carpet bowling, floor shuffleboard, whist, crib or dominoes.

There was keen competition between the communities to win all their games as Teslin had provided a trophy for the top carpet bowlers as well as medals for each team member placing first, second or third in most of the remaining sports.

In the carpet bowling category, if the same community wins the trophy three years in a row, they are able to keep it.

All the teams played three games of various sports with the following results:

The Teslin Sports Day is the season's wrap up event for the carpet bowling and floor shuffleboard teams.

The group looks forward to these yearly sports days as it is a time to gather with the various communities to enjoy camaraderie and lively competition.

Thank you Teslin for providing the facility, food, trophy and medals so we are able to enjoy this yearly event.
