By Vince Fedoroff on January 8, 2019

ROUNDING THE BEND – Alexandra Rochat rounds the corner with her team of eight dogs during a race Saturday at Ibex Valley. The races were held by the Yukon Dog Mushers Association (YDMA). Two classes took part in the day, the 10-kilometre race with six dogs and the 15-kilometre race with 10 dogs and each had six mushers competing. Known as the First Preliminary YDMA race, it was an opportunity for mushers and volunteers to prepare for the Babe Southwick Memorial Race in Feb. Mandy Johnson won the 10-kilometre race in a time of 24:51. Armin Johnson took the 15-kilometre race in a time of 49:20.

The 6 dog was an 8 mile race while the 10 dog was 15miles.
Vince - fantastic shots - love the wider one of Alex. If you have a full one of my team (5 dogs in the 6dog class) I would love to see it!
