Twenty-five runners and walkers participated in Tuesday's weekly InterSport 5-kilometre road race in favourable weather conditions in a running-friendly temperature of 16 degrees.
Three members of the Whitehorse running glitterati dominated the running side of the event.
In the men's category, well known human gazelle's Rodney Hulstein (18:20), Shane Carlos (18:20) and Luke Carlos (18:30) were far and away the fastest three runners of the evening.
The top five was rounded out by Joel Macht (19:40), who was one of the top finishers in last weekend's Southern Lakes Bike Loppet, and Tom Ullyett (19:44).
Running a personal best for the season, Lauren Whyte once again finished first in the women's category with a time of 19:44 which computes to a pace time of just under 4 minutes per kilometre.
Behind Whyte in the top five were Amelia Fraser (21:12), Emily Wale (23:17), Louella Hartling-Sippel (23:28) and Melissa Yu-Schott (26:38).
In the walking category, just eight seconds separated the three fastest athletes.
Tanya Astika (35:00) crossed the finish line less than an arm length ahead of Bonnie Love (35:01).
Arlene Ogden (35:08), the fastest Yukon walker in her age category, finished third.
