Roadhouse remains on top of rec league

Roadhouse increased its lead in the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League's A division to seven points thanks to a decisive 11-3 Thursday night victory over the Kluane Drillers.

Roadhouse increased its lead in the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League's A division to seven points thanks to a decisive 11-3 Thursday night victory over the Kluane Drillers.

So far this season, Roadhouse has won 18 games and has 37 points in total.

Boston Pizza/Matco occupy the second spot with 30 points, while Air North/Cinderwood sit in third with 24 points.

The B division has Narrow Gauge in top spot with a record of 16 wins, one loss and three ties, while the Kwanlin Kanucks are in second with 26 points.


Roadhouse 11, Kluane Drillers 3

Mark King contributed three goals and thee assists for Roadhouse, while Tim McIntosh and Scott Horse each chipped in a pair of goals.

The remaining scorers on Roadhouse were Matt Kramer, Shayne King, Darren Vanlangen and Ryan Hogins.

Tyler Murray, Mark Daniels and Rob Pitzel each scored for the Drillers.

The Drillers are currently in eighth place with seven points.


Terra Firma Muckers 9, ORC Tree Services 1

Both Chris Evans and Brian Douglas netted a couple of goals for the Muckers, while the team's remaining scorers included Andy Connors, David Hart, Rene Lapierre and Steve Israel.

The Muckers are in fifth place in the A division with eight wins and 19 points.

Phillip Mullin put in the lone goal for ORC.
