Roadhouse beats Jets in rec hockey game

A late goal, with less than one second remaining in the first period, helped Roadhouse defeat the Air North Jets in the 'A' Division of the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League on Tuesday.

A late goal, with less than one second remaining in the first period, helped Roadhouse defeat the Air North Jets in the 'A' Division of the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League on Tuesday.

Roadhouse scored three goals in total in the first period and followed that up with a two goal second frame.

The Jets notched a goal in each of the game's two periods in the loss.

Joey Mason led the way for Roadhouse, scoring one goal and adding two assists, while Ryan Hodgins also played very well, finishing with one goal and one assist.

Other scorers on the team were Darren Van Langen, Mike Gau and Andrew Sprokkreeff, who each finished with one goal.

Scott Horsey scored both goals for the Air North Jets in the loss.
