The Mt. Lorne Mis-Adventure may not have the populist following of the "Dry Tri”, which also took place last weekend.

However, every year the 20-km course attracts runners who want the challenge of a half-marathon trail run combined with a delicious post-race lunch provided by the good volunteers of Mt. Lorne.

This year's edition saw 21 runners complete the whole course in cool, cloudy conditions that were ideal for running. The male and female course records were not challenged. They are held by Mt. Lorne resident Dave Brook (1:23 set in 2008) and nationally- ranked ultra runner Denise McHale (1:27 in 2005).

This year's fastest male runner was Mike Richards (1:28). The fastest woman was Larra Daley (1:38).

Here's the complete results:

  1. Mike Richards, 1:28:19

  2. Tom Ulyett, 1:30:13

  3. Keith Thaxter, 1:31:11
