Ravens can boast title of soccer champions

The Whitehorse Elementary Soccer Championship was held this past weekend on fields throughout the Yukon capital.

The Whitehorse Elementary Soccer Championship was held this past weekend on fields throughout the Yukon capital.

Eleven teams from the Whitehorse area took part in the event. In the end, it was the Jack Hulland Ravens taking gold with a decisive 4-1 victory over Whitehorse Elementary School Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Selkirk shut out Golden Horn 5-0 in the bronze medal matchup.

In the championship round semifinals, Jack Hulland defeated Selkirk 3-1 and Whitehorse Elementary topped Golden Horn 2-1.
