Rampant KBS dominate league leaders

If you were looking at the leagues table before the start of this game, you would surmise that Westmark should have an easy game against basement dwellers Klondike Business Solutions. But, in recent weeks the Westmark star has begun to wane, this maybe because of the unavailability of key players, but on Saturday it was because KBS were able to call on a full roster for the first time this year.

From the first whistle, KBS were able to take the game to Westmark, Ash Jordan and Franklin Fru were enjoying themselves in midfield, seeing a lot of the ball and able to stamp their authority on the game. Fru scored twice as did Keith Welch who has finally found his scoring boots which had been locked in his attic for the season. Big Nathan Cross continued his good form with another goal for KBS, with only a Pat Shaw goal to show for Westmark’s hard work. Then with 11 minutes to go and Westmark’s players tiring quickly the Ammonia alarm went off and the game was abandoned, some may say this was suspicious way to end the game, but thankfully the 5-1 result will stand and nobody will question where Gord Barker was when the alarm went off.

Yukon Info good
form continues

After the abandonment of the first game and the cancellation of the second game, both Yukon Info and Yukon Brewing were short of players as many had gone home to avoid being stuck outside in the cold. The CGC said the facility was safe and some of the players returned and the game was started with subs filling both sides. Yukon Info adapted to this disruption better and were able to find some rhythm winning the game 3-1, scoring goals from JP Ladroue, Adil Khalik and Danny Macdonald with only Martin Farrow being able to find the net for the Brew.

Yukon Brewing looked disjointed and were not able to control the game the way they wanted to, this allowed players like Macdonald and Ciaran Connolly to run riot through the centre of the pitch, with only Iain Breckenridge being able to slow them down.

In the end it was a comfortable win for Yukon Info.com who will be looking forward to next week’s game with some confidence.
