P&M pulls off convincing win over Stereo North

There were no repeat champions at this year's Dustball International Tournament, held at the Pepsi Softball Complex and Robert Service ball parks in Whitehorse over the weekend.

There were no repeat champions at this year's Dustball International Tournament, held at the Pepsi Softball Complex and Robert Service ball parks in Whitehorse over the weekend.

Seventy-one teams took part in 10 divisions. Reverting back to the old format, there were both men's and women's A divisions this year.

In the men's A final, local team P&M Recycling took on Sitka's Stereo North. P&M dominated the game from start to finish, winning by a final score of 22-6 in six innings.

In the women's A final, two Alaska teams faced off for bragging rights. In the end, it was The Cellar taking it all over AKA Girls in extra innings.

In the coed A division, defending champions from Whitehorse Casa Loma put their title on the line against Juneau's Imperial Saloon, and Imperial came out on top.

Prizes were awarded for the top three finishers in each division, which were as follows:
