Playoff runs end for youngest minor hockey teams

It was a golden finish for Titan Gaming and Whitehorse Dental on Sunday.

The two minor hockey teams capped their seasons with victories as the atom, novice and tyke divisions ended with championship games Sunday at the Canada Games Centre.

Titan Gaming downed PNW Group 6-3 in the atom final, thanks to a hat trick by Sabastian Insley.

Conner LaBar added two goals in the win, with Kurtis Hyatt rounding out the scoring.

James Nemeth responded with a pair for PNW Group, while Zack Seguin added a single.

Skookum Asphalt won atom bronze 6-2 over Coldwell Banker.

Meanwhile, Whitehorse Dental shut out Kilrich Builders 7-0 to win novice gold.

Booster Juice beat Envirolube 3-1 to earn novice bronze.

The tyke Bruins also won gold 7-5 over the Flames Sunday.

The bantam and peewee divisions will conclude next Sunday with gold-medal games.
