PLAYING FOR A GOOD CAUSE – The fieldhouse and the flexihall at the Canada Games Centre were occupied by over 300 youth soccer players on Friday and Saturday. They were there for the Whitehorse Minor Soccer Association Toonie Tournament. To play, all athletes had to donate $2, or a non-perishable food item. All food and money were donated to the Whitehorse Food Bank. The tournament filled three large bins with food and raised just under $2,000. There was no championship game, instead, the two highest fundraising teams played the final.
