PeeWee Mustangs score eight goals in Whitehorse's bantam hockey league

The PeeWee Mustangs scored at least two goals in each period to go onto an 8-2 victory over the Duncan's in Whitehorse Minor Hockey Association's Bantam League on Sunday.

The PeeWee Mustangs scored at least two goals in each period to go onto an 8-2 victory over the Duncan's in Whitehorse Minor Hockey Association's Bantam League on Sunday.

The team is currently one point ahead of second place Castlerock for top spot in the league standings with 25 points in total.

This was the only game played on the weekend in the bantam league.

Gage Preece played an incredible game for the Mustangs, scoring a hat trick in the victory.

Ryan Chippett also played very well, scoring a goal and adding three assists, while Mike Arnold and Austin Turner-Davis each scored once and contributed one assist.

Other goal scorers on the team included Jordan King and Jared Steinbach.

Rowan Huggard scored two goals for the Duncan's, while a pick-up player for their game against the Mustang's scored the other goal.

The Duncan's are currently in third place with 17 points.
