Pearson, Rivest notch four goals each as atom division playoffs get underway

Gibson Pearson led Pearson Dental with four goals as his team snuck past the Polaris Predators 10-9 in game number eight of Whitehorse Minor Hockey League Atom Division playoff action Monday.

Gibson Pearson led Pearson Dental with four goals as his team snuck past the Polaris Predators 10-9 in game number eight of Whitehorse Minor Hockey League Atom Division playoff action Monday.

Brayden Kulych and Joel Brennan each added a pair of goals for Pearson while William Douglas and Sean Schmidt had a goal apiece.

Travis Rivest replied for Polaris with four goals of his own. Chris Vance added two goals while Kai Breithaupt, Brett Briemon and Lowell Tait each had one. The MVP for Pearson was Douglas and the MVP for Polaris was Tait.

Game seven

Locksmith Services 5

TA Firth 2

Ryley O'Connor netted a pair of goals for Locksmith Services as they found the key to defeating TA Firth.

Trevor Hanna, Justin Kreft and Patrick Soprovich each added a goal for Locksmith.

Noria Deacon and Angela Burke provided the offence for TA Firth. The MVP for Locksmith was Gage Aird while the MVP for Firth was Samantha Ford.

Game six

Pearson Dental 6

TA Firth 2

It was a complete team effort for Pearson Dental as they froze TA Firth.

Sean Schmidt, Joel Brennan, Ben Pereira, Gibson Pearson, Brayden Kulych and Rylan Bechtel each potted a goal for the Dental squad.

Michelle McKay and Chantel Rivest scored for TA Firth. The MVP for Pearson was Bechtel while the MVP for Firth was Tara Wills.

Game five

Polaris Predators 2

Gem Gas 1

Chris Vance and Brett Briemon notched a goal apiece for Polaris as they narrowly defeated Gem Gas.

Bryden Engren-Cook was the lone scorer for Gem. The MVP for the Predators was Travis Rivest while the MVP for the Gas crew was Matthew McCarthy.

Game four

Locksmith Services 10

Polaris Predators 5

Trevor Hanna recorded a hat trick for Locksmith Services as his team doubled the Polaris Predators.

Ryley O'Connor added two goals for Locksmith while Cody Lessard, Seamus Bearisto, Trevor Whynot, Brandon Langenhan and Justin Kreft each had one.

Travis Rivest and Chris Vance popped in two goals each for Polaris. Theoren Richards had one. The MVPs were not available.

Game three

Gem Gas 3

Pearson Dental 3

Henry MacIntosh-Kedziora led Gem Gas with two goals as they settled for a tie with Pearson Dental.

Bryden Engren-Cook added the other goal for Gem.

Gibson Pearson replied for the Dental crew with two goals while Rory Gibson had one. The MVPs were not available.

Game two

Polaris Predators 13

TA Firth 1

Travis Rivest notched a hat trick for the Polaris Predators as his team devoured TA Firth.

Mike Hare, Chris Fisher, Brandon Hrycan and Brett Briemon each added a pair of goals for Polaris. Mason Gray and Kai Breithaupt had one goal apiece.

Emily Nugent scored the lone goal for TA Firth. The MVP for Polaris was Theoren Richards while the MVP for Firth was Teneesha Merkel.

Locksmith Services 2

Bryden Engren-Cook dominated the offense for Gem Gas, netting three goals as his team doubled Locksmith Services.

Brett Roulston added a goal for Gem.

Adrian Hawkings had both goals for Locksmith. The MVP for the Gas squad was Austin Smith while the MVP for Locksmith was Nicholas Terry.
