ORC nets seven goals in recreational hockey league

A late goal in the first period helped ORC Tree Services draw even with Yukon Appliance on Monday in the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League.

A late goal in the first period helped ORC Tree Services draw even with Yukon Appliance on Monday in the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League.

ORC carried the momentum into the second period, adding four in the team's 7-4 win.

Dan Johnson led the way for ORC in the goals department with two, while the team's other scorers were Ben Cole, Jordan Johnston, Mike Beauchamp, Dan Cole and Phillip Mullan.

Jeremy Hookham also played very well for ORC, chipping in three assists.

Aaron Pettitt scored a hat trick for Yukon Appliance and Jesse Sieben netted the team's other goal.


Roadhouse 9, Kluane Drillers 2

Sheldon King contributed a third of Roadhouse's goal total in the team's game against the Kluane Drillers on Monday.

King finished with a hat trick and one assist, while Mat Horsey and Mark King also had four point performances, each scoring twice and adding two assists.

Scott Horsey and Andrew Sprokkreeff also scored for Roadhouse in the win.

Mark Daniels and Ed Vanderkley netted the two Drillers goals, while Shawn Horpe also played well for the team, chipping in a pair of assists.
