Air North flies by Kilrich to remain undefeated

Five different goal scorers propelled Air North to a 5-3 victory over Kilrich in a hard-played battle of the unbeaten Thursday night in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action. Dave Bakica, Wynn Griffith, Gary Jerome, Dustin Heffner, and Bruce Milligan did the damage. For the builders, it was Chris Nash, Chris Carli, and Peter Johnston netting markers.

Medicine Chest 7, AON 2

In the early game Thursday, Kirk Price and Myles Dolphin filled their prescriptions for MC, with Dolphin scoring three times and adding two assists, and Price tallying two goals and four assists. Ben Campbell and Derek Bilodeau rounded out the scoring. For AON, goals came off the sticks of Gary Vantell and Mervin Jacobsen.

Wednesday

Yukon Inn 7, Tim Hortons 2

Martin Lawrie and Ben Kielb each notched a pair of goals to lead the Inn to victory. Gord Peterson, Alfred Feldman, and Shawn Kinsella also found the back of the net, and Kerry Pettitt dished out three helpers. For Tims, it was Gerry Brandt and Geordan Clark delivering the damage.

EDI 4, Firth 4

Marcel Barrault smacked home a loose puck with 12 seconds left on the clock to give EDI the tie. Laurie Malo sniped a pair of goals (one shorthanded) and speedy Mike Sage scored the other. For Firth, Mark King stayed atop the scoring race with two goals and a helper, and Arlo O’Riordan and Mike Jim rounded out the scoring.

Sunday (Oct 13)

EDI 3, Yukon Inn 1

Barrault paced EDI with a pair of goals, and Gary McKellar added the other in the win. Feldman replied for the Inn.

Air North, 6 AON 3

Bakica scored twice to jet Air North to the win. Singles came off the sticks of Garrett Zacharias, Jerome, Russ McDiarmid, and Griffith, who also chipped in three assists. Scott Palfreyman, Wade Hanna and Kevin Johnstone replied for the men in red.
