Floyd McCormick registered a shutout
Floyd McCormick registered a shutout as his TA Firth and Sons Insurance team beat Yukon Inn 3-0 in Oldtimer hockey action last night.
EDI beat AON Reed Stenhouse Inc 5-3 to remain near the top of the standings.
In other Oldtimer hockey action, Kilrich downed Tim Hortons 3-2 with goals from Mike Jim, Ron Sumanik and Dave Bakica.
Tim Hortons’ goals were thanks to Ed van Randen and Chad Cowan.
The other Sunday Oldtimer hockey game saw Air North face Medicine Chest.
The game went to a tie, with Air North’s goals coming from Elgin Schwantz, Gordon Clarke, Richard Beaudoin, Rob Green and Gregor Gabb ( Pete Mostyn had three assists).
The Medicine Chest side had goals from Chris Nash, Blayne Monahan (who remains the league’s top scorer), Kirk Price(2) and Colin Nash.
