The latest additions reportedly bring the current total of Senator’s Cup members to 188.
The class of 2014 includes Whitehorse runners Sue Bogle, Andrea Buckley, Debra Fendrick, Rob Fendrick, Lorrie Greer, Hanne Hoefs, Gilles Mernard, David Michayluk, Diane Pachiorka, Forest Pearson, and Michelle Rigoni.
Alaskan runners to make the grade this year include: Michael Ciri (Juneau), Dona Endsley (Anchorage), Robin Gilcrist (Juneau), Jim Grammel (Juneau), Marnie Hartman (Haines), Sara Raster (Juneau), and Melanie White (Juneau).
Peter Sidler of Atlin, B.C., also earned his place on the trophy this year.
Since 1983, the Klondike Road Relay has seen runners hit the pavement from the Alaskan port city of Skagway to the Yukon capital in all types of weather.
The route follows the trail of the Gold Rush stampeders over the famous White Pass through British Columbia.
Runners are able to compete in 11 official categories.
