Trail Report
The 7.5-kilometre, Powerline, Selwyn's Loop, Pierre Harvey and Upper Valley were groomed this morning and are good for both skating and classic. Copper has been groomed for skating.
Lower Valley is good for classic but not recommended for skating. Sarah Steele outer and blue loops are packed but more snow is needed to set a classic track. All other trails are fair to good with some dirt showing through. Rock skis are still advised.
McIntyre Ascent and Descent were groomed Nov. 25 and are still in good condition. Experienced skiers only should attempt the Ascent Trail. Take extra food and water and extra wind layers for the Descent. Always watch for snowmobiles on the Descent as it is a shared trail.
The alternate parking area adjacent to Dog Trail is open. Use caution when turning onto Hamilton Blvd.
Skiers with dogs may also park in the Mt. McIntyre parking lot. Please use the designated access to the tie up area (follow the signs to the Barking Lot). Dogs are not allowed in the vicinity of the Wax Room.
Wax Suggestions
Rode Green. If colder than -15, use Rex Special green.
