A great weekend to use the trail system. The groomers have been busy and most trails are in excellent condition.
Copper to Best Chance, Dog and Selwyn's Loop, World Cup 10K, Wolf, Monique Wattereus, Pierre Harvey, Powerline, Lower Valley and the Haulroad were groomed Thursday morning. They are excellent for classic and skating.World Cup 5K, Whiskey Jack, Coyote, Raven and Lynx were groomed recently and are in excellent condition.
Watch for overflow at the south end of the Lower Valley trail. The Mt Mc Ascent and Descent trails will be groomed on Friday. Watch for snowmobiles on the Descent trail since it is a shared trail. Take extra food and clothing.
Remember to carry a cell phone when skiing alone. Access to Dog Trail from the Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre is over the bridge and down Ketza Connector.
Dogs are not allowed in the ski stadium.
There are several emergency supply caches located on the trail system. They are marked on the trail map. Please let us know when using any of the emergency supplies.
Day pass or membership required when skiing on any of the ski club trails. Passes are available at The Ski Base, at Mt McIntyre Recreation Centre.Events and Program Information
Tuesday and Wednesday Jackrabbits meet at 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday Jackrabbits are from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The Air North Challenge started Feb. 1 and ends Feb 28. Please register at the Ski Base.
Valentine's Relay is scheduled for Feb 15. Start time at 5pm.
Hours of Operation
Wax Room: Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lights are on from Monday to Friday from dusk until 9:30 p.m.
The Ski Base: Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
