Trail Report

Finally there is a break in the weather for spring break skiers.

World Cup 10K, Pierre Harvey Trail, Powerline and 7.5K were groomed Wednesday night and are excellent for classic and skating.

Copper to Best Chance, Dog, Selwyn's Loop, Upper and Lower Valley and most other trails are still in excellent condition for classic or skating.

Sarah Steele loops are good for classic or skating. Overflow on Lower Valley may become a problem with the warmer weather.

With the long evenings the trail lights have been turned off for the season.

The Mt Mc Ascent and Descent are in good condition, but recommended for experienced skiers. Watch for occasional two-way traffic.

Take extra food and clothing for the Descent. The Descent trail is shared with the Klondike Snowmobile Association, so always watch for snow machines.

It is recommended that you carry a cell phone. It may be a lifesaver for you or for somebody else on the trail.

Dogs are welcome on designated trails. Parking is provided at the Dog Trail lot off Hamilton Boulevard and at the Mount McIntyre parking lot.

To access Dog Trail from Mt. McIntyre, go over the bridge and down Ketza Connector.

Dogs are not allowed in the stadium.

Day passes and spring passes are available at The Ski Base at Mt. McIntyre.
