Mount McIntyre ski conditions report

Volunteer crews have been busy all week and are catching up with the recent snowfall.

Volunteer crews have been busy all week and are catching up with the recent snowfall.

Copper to Crossroads Junction, Dog, Wolf and Selwyn's Loop are packed and

tracked and good for classic or skating.

Raven, Lynx, Coyote, the 7.5K, Sarah Steele Trails, World Cup10K and Powerline are packed. Upper and Lower Valley are being packed today. Watch for potential overflow on the Lower Valley trail.

Access to Dog Trail is available from the Mt. Mac parking lot or the Dog Trail parking lot off Hamilton Boulevard. The Dog Trail parking lot was plowed Thursday.

Skiers starting from the Mt. Mac parking area are asked to walk around the curling rink to the Dog Barking Lot at the south end of the Rec Centre. Access to Dog Trail from the Barking Lot is over the bridge and down Ketza Connector. The stadium is no longer open for dogs.

Trail passes are required when skiing on any of the ski club trails. Passes are available at The Ski Base. Christmas Pass booklets are now available and are on sale until Dec 24 – valid for the whole season.

Wax Suggestions: Rode or Rex special green, but keep warm weather waxes handy for the weekend.

Events and Program Information:

Adult Lessons are offered by Aurora Ski School, Performance Ski School and Stride and Glide.

Masters skiers are invited to participate in group training sessions on Wednesdays at 3p.m. Meet in the Wax Room. Call the club office at 668-4477 for more information about programs and events.

Don Sumanik Classic race is Saturday at noon, and recreational skiers are welcome (no trail closures).

Hours of Operation:

Wax Room: Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Ski Base Mon to Fri 10am to 8pm Sat/Sun 10am to 5pm
