Trail Report:

Copper to Best Chance, Dog, Sundog, Upper Valley South, Selwyn's Loop, Logan Burn, and the Stadium were groomed Thursday morning. These trails are excellent for classic or skating. With fresh snow, grooming will continue over the next few days.

Caution is required when skiing on Upper Valley North, please watch for the snowcat (Pisten Bully) which is broken down between Copper Cut-Off and Logan Burn Trail. The PB has a broken track, which will take a week to repair.

Skiing the McIntyre Ascent/Descent is recommended for experienced skiers only. Watch for snowmobiles on the Descent since it is a shared trail.

Trail lights are on from dusk to 9:30 p.m. on weeknights and off on the weekends.

Snowshoers are welcome to use the ski trails but must purchase a membership or day pass.

Safety reminders:

* Carry a cell phone and let somebody know where you are skiing.

* Be prepared - carry matches, safety blanket, and hand warmers.

* Take a map and know where you are - be familiar with the emergency supply caches that are located on the trails. 

2.4 Hours of Light Event on Dec. 26th

Come out to work off all the turkey! Set a goal and see how many laps you can ski from noon to 2:24 p.m. on Boxing Day. If you're interested in volunteering at this event please contact Sarah at 335-0192
