The majority of trails at the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club have been groomed and labelled "fair to good” for skiing.

The club released a trail report yesterday afternoon.

While there appears to be plenty of snow, skiers are cautioned to use restraint on downhills, as dirt is still showing up in patches.

The majority of trails, including the World Cup 10 km and 7.5 km, were groomed this week and have been labelled "fair to good for classic and skating.” The Ascent has been packed, but is not yet recommended for skiing.

Trail lights at Mount McIntyre are now on for the season, and are lit weekdays from dusk until 9:30 p.m.

Skiers do require a day or season pass to use the trails, and they are available at the Ski Base or online at www.xcskiwhitehorse.ca. "Try our Trails” punch passes are also on sale.

Suggested wax is Rode Blue.
