As of Monday, most trails are in good condition and grooming is on hold until it warms up a little.

Conditions are very slow for skating but classic skiing is good.

World Cup 10K, Pierre Harvey and Powerline were groomed last Friday. Lower Valley is good and the overflow on McIntyre Creek crossing is frozen and skiable.

McIntyre Ascent and McIntyre Loop will be packed when it is warmer.

The trail lights are on from Monday to Friday from dusk until 9:30. Lights will be turned off when temperature is colder than -30.

Use caution on the bridge and watch for oncoming skiers.

There are some precautions for skiing in extremely cold weather.

Dress in layers and make adjustments as needed, ski with a "buddy", shorten the outing, drink plenty of liquids and know your limits.

Wax suggestions

Rode special green. Before applying cold weather waxes, clean off all traces of soft waxes. It may be necessary to use wax remover. Apply several thin layers and cork smooth.

Events and program information

SnowFun program for kids is Thursday 4:30, and Saturday at 11:15. Meet in the Wax Room.

There are openings available. SnowFun will be cancelled if the temperature is below -25.

There will not be SnowFun sessions over the Christmas holiday. Next session will be Jan 8.

Poker Rally and Lights Celebration postponed to Jan. 7.

Don Sumanik races Dec. 27-28. Entry deadline extended to Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. Watch the website for updates.

Christmas Hours for Wax Room open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 8p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closing on

Christmas Eve at 6 p.m. Open Christmas Day, noon to 4p.m.

The Ski Base open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to noon and 4-8p.m. and Saturday/Sunday 10- 5.

Closed Christmas Day. Wax Room may close early during the cold spell.

Saunas open during Wax Room hours. Eleventh End Lounge (upstairs at Mt. Mac.) open 5:30 to 11 weekdays.
