Minty Bradford cracks the top 10 at 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics

Aramintha (Minty) Bradford finished in the top 10, and Cedric Martel made history at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games today.

Aramintha (Minty) Bradford finished in the top 10, and Cedric Martel made history at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games today.

It was a great start for Team Canada in cross country with all four athletes qualifying for the heats.

Aramintha Bradford and Cedric Martel moved onto the semis, finishing in ninth and 11th place to end the day. Martel’s 11th place finish is Canada’s best men’s Youth Olympic Games result, while Bradford’s ninth is Canada’s second-best Women’s Youth Olympic Games finish.

Bradford finished eighth in the qualification round, third in the quarterfinals, and fifth in the semi-finals for her overall result of ninth place.

It was Bradford’s first international cross country race.

Cross-country skiing takes place until Feb. 1 (Day 13) at the Alpensia Biathlon Centre.
