Minor soccer action wraps up in time for holidays

R.J. Smallwood's pair of goals cut the deficit in half, and a hat trick from Jayden Demchuk scored her MVP honours for Klondike Business Solutions in the win.
Tyler Milton had two goals, two assists and MVP honours for The Electrical Shop, while Michael Kishchuk also netted a pair.
Minor soccer will now break for the holidays, returning to action Jan. 7.
Murraya Dental 7, The Deli 4
Marek Boulerice had a hat trick and Leo Bardibitzki added a pair as Murraya Dental downed The Deli.
Lara Herry Saint-Onge and Emily Muir also scored in the win, while Sahba Kazemi won MVP honours. Muir's goal was her first of the season.
Skyler Bryant had a hat trick for The Deli, and team MVP Ava Cairns-Locke also scored in the loss.
Whitehorse Star 9, Yukon Pump Ltd. 3
In a light-hearted game full of good cheer, the Star downed Yukon Pump on the strength of hat tricks from both team MVP Tyler MacDougall and Esteban Engasser.
Felix Maltais added a pair of strikes, while Jamie Joe-Hudson rounded out the scoring.
Yukon Pump scorers were Ted Schulze, Gary Schulze and Delilah Stevens-Bailey. Mason Bramadat took home MVP honours.
Lanix Property Management 4, Vector Research 3
Vector Research's search for their second win will continue into 2013 after they were narrowly defeated by Lanix Property Management.
Riley Smolner's hat trick and Brandon Brodhagen's single proved the difference in the win.
Samantha Ng, Matthew Butler and Simon Kishchuk scored for Vector Research.
Team MVPs were Austin Hayduck (Lanix) and Max Zaparinuk.
In under-11 action Thursday:
Pelly Construction 5, Intersport 5
Intersport MVP Ben Kishchuk scored four goals and Jacob Finton added another in a hard-fought draw.
Xavier Houle had a hat trick for Pelly, while Jamie Phillips-Freeman added a pair. Bjorn Boone won team MVP honours.
Locksmith Services 8, Coates Services Yukon Ltd. 3
Abed Rajab scored five times and Andreas Lavenderos had two to lead Locksmith Services to a big win.
Chad Williams added a single while Cassidy Cairns was named team MVP of the match.
Chai McDiarmid netted a pair for Coates Services, while Joseph Coyne rounded out the scoring. Leah Ott was named her team's MVP.
The Eagles 6, Boston Pizza 1
Ben Shier had two goals, and Jasmine Sealy, Antonio Legault, Hunter Sandluck and team MVP Austin Au each had one as The Eagles routed Boston Pizza.
Saacho Jack scored for Boston Pizza, while Kobe Allen was MVP.

An exciting game ended in a 3-all draw.
Rocky Nordvie scored twice for the Yukon News, while Simon Lauer added one of his own. Chantelle Scheper was MVP.
Nathan Scully scored two for Energy North, while Trinity Asp scored once and won MVP honours.
ACME 2, Conservation Data Centre 2
Seth Bennett scored both goals for CDC in a 2-2 draw.
Sara Charlton won MVP honours and played almost the entire game after missing dance class to join her team for their last game of the year.
Daniel Wilberforce and Zack Willoughby responded for ACME, and Travis Wilcox won MVP.
Sale Salvage 3, Northern Lights Optometry 1
Sawyer Adams, William Huebschwerlen and MVP Dean Birkbeck scored for Sale Salvage while Rohit Sharma responded for Northern Lights.
Max Warner was named MVP for the losing side.

ERS 3, Mic Mac Toyota 1
Bryn Amos scored twice and Dan Phillips-Friedman had the other as ERS downed Mic Mac Toyota. Ashton Payne was MVP of the match.
Arthur St. Laurent scored in the loss, and was named his team's MVP.
Tim Hortons 4, EDI 1
Goals from Flynn Young, Armaan Brar, Seth Sheardown-Waugh and Jacob Nichol helped Tim Hortons beat EDI.
Brooke Tobler scored for EDI, and Kaidence Reynolds-Fraser was named MVP of the match.
Whitehorse Elks 9, ORC Tree Services 3
Luke Cozens had four goals, John London three, and Matthew London two as the Whitehorse Elks trampled ORC.
Chase Tuton had a hat trick of his own in the loss.
Myles Trefry was MVP for the Elks, while Larry Moen won for ORC.
Bocelli's Pizza 6, Sun Dog Retreat 4
Luke Morey scored a hat trick, and Jonnie Timmons had a pair as Bocelli's earned a late-season victory. Jase Johnstone also scored in the win, while Mara-Jade Paton won MVP.
Sun Dog goalscorers were unavailable, but Jackson Alrich was MVP.
