There's a new course record at Mountain View Golf Club.

Dozens of golfers took part in the Skookum Asphalt Charity Pro-Am tournament Saturday at the local course, but it was visitor Trevor Metcalf who stole the glory.

Metcalf, a Canadian PGA professional from Eagle Ranch Resort in Invermere, B.C., shot a 65 in Saturday's second round to break the old record of 69.

Earlier Saturday morning, another visiting golfer shot a 67, holding the course record for a few hours.

Several Canadian PGA professionals were on hand for the tournament, as well as a couple of pros from Alaska.

The event consisted of two shotgun starts, morning and afternoon. It wrapped up with dinner, as well as silent and live auctions.

All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Whitehorse Hospital Foundation and Variety Children's Network.
