Mike Menzies finished on top of the John Trout division to place first out of 26 rinks competing in last weekend's Canadian Tire Sportsman's Bonspiel.

Menzies completed his five, six-end games with 51 points out of a possible 60.
The Les Luciuk rink came out of the Lionel Stokes division in second place overall with 50 points, while Lee Malanchuk's squad finished in third with 50 points.
Thomas Scoffin and his junior colleagues who will represent the Yukon next month at the Arctic Winter Games in Grand Prairie finished in fourth place, after recording 49 points in the Don Twa division.
The Canadian Tire spiel employed the alternate scoring format, where each team is awarded two points for each end won, and one point for each end lost.
The Menzies squad recorded one of only two perfect 12-point games over the weekend, with the 10th place Vern Janz rink recording the other.
The Ray Young rink finished in fifth, the Craig Tuton rink was in sixth, the Robb Andison squad finished seventh, the Gord Zealand rink was eighth and Doug Gee's boys finished the weekend in ninth.
The annual men's and women's International Bonspiel is the next major event for the Whitehorse Curling Club, scheduled for March 25th to the 28th.
