It's been a great season of spills and thrills for the Yukon Brewing Copper Haul Twister League, but all good things must, unfortunately, come to an end.

With the snow quickly melting as the spring weather makes itself at home in the Yukon once more, it's time for the league to have its last race of the season.

This Sunday the league will host the final race, the Optimum Pet Products Race Day.

As usual, the race will start at 11 a.m. on the Fish Lake Rd. near Icy Waters Ltd.

The top spot in the eight-mile race are definitely within grasp, and could come down to any one of the top three finishers.

Crispin Studer, currently sitting in third place, will have to volunteer for this weekend's race, putting him out of contention for league prizes. He could however, choose to race anyways and become the league's winner.

Chrystal Bartczak put herself in contention two weeks ago at the second last race, beating out the competition for 18 points. Leading her is Tony Radford in first with 30 points and defending league champion, Jon Lucas with 26.

In the kids race Erin Spicer leads by only six points over Seth Carey, who could have the chance to clinch the top spot this weekend.

The one pet-dog race could also be a toss up, with Pippa Lawson and her dog Tiramasu leading Jon Lucas by only four points.

It will be an exciting race for all involved, followed by a banquet.
