Jeff Larsen dominated the field of six male runners in Tuesday evening’s Sports Experts 5km Fun Run/Walk series.
Jeff Larsen dominated the field of six male runners in Tuesday evening’s Sports Experts 5km Fun Run/Walk series.
While Selena Boothroyd wasn’t as dominant among the five female runners, she did finish over a minute ahead of second-place Sylvie Sandiford.
Larsen finished in a time of 19 minutes and 33 seconds, or three minutes and 13 seconds faster than Ben Harper and Yves Paradis, both finishing with a second-place time of 22:46.
Chris Locke was the fourth runner across in a time of 22:58, followed by Scott Williams in 26:42 and Jason Kiao in 29:46.
Boothroyd clocked in at 26:42 while Sandiford finished in 28:09.
Deb Higgins was third in a time of 28:11 followed by Jen Meurer in 29:59 and Karin Keeley-Eriksson o 32:34.
The only male walker, John Storms covered the five kilometres in 28:28. The only female walker, Bonnie Love finished in 36:21.
