Ladroue dances around KBS
JP Ladroue led Klondike Business Solutions a merry dance,
JP Ladroue led Klondike Business Solutions a merry dance, showing his finesse, polkaing his way to two goals as he inspired a remarkable fightback for Pepsi to tie the first game of the morning in over 35’s soccer action 5-5.
Down 5-1 with only 11 minutes left, Ladroue waltzed past the KBS defenders causing them all sorts of problems, his finishing was far too clinical as he teamed up with Patrick Zuccurri (two goals) and Stephen Mcgovern (one) to form a holy trinity of goalscorers that tore into the KBS defence, that was unable to contend with the three’s superior play.
It could have been so different for KBS, who were cruising to an easy win through a sublime Jim Brown effort, a goal from Mark Sebek and the tradition three from Matthias Hartman, but were unable to keep the red wave from crashing over them.
Hume too hot for Yukon Info
Miles Hume is not suffering from second season syndrome as he maintains an incredible scoring rate. He has now scored 10 goals in three matches, with another hat trick to his collection, helping Yukon Brewing to a 7-3 win over pointless Yukon Info.com.
Yukon Info were actually 3-1 up at half time with two goals from Graham White, and a well taken strike for Will Chetcuti. However, The Brew turned on the afterburners after the break, and ran Yukon Info ragged with other goals from Justin Carre, David Rayo, Dale Cheeseman and Gabe Stetkiewicz.
Cheeseman, Hume and the ever alluring Jason Steel have been growing their hair out, to fit into their Bee Gees tribute band, which should be as entertaining to watch as their soccer play.
Driving Force deliver first
loss to Air North
Greg Grady has been in great form for Driving Force this season, he scored the two goals that was good enough to beat the Air North Rangers 2-1. Grady, who is new to the Rapids, looks like a fine player with all the attributes needed to play in the league. After a fairly quiet beginning, Grady sparked the game into life, with a superb all-round play display. Iain Breckenridge, the Air North skipper, urged, cajoled and pleaded with his players for more effort, which they gave him, but it wasn’t quite enough, even though the mighty Jurgen Korn did score one close to the end to make things interesting, the Rangers couldn’t produce a piece of magic to tie the game.
