Kluane drills Sports North, Boston Pizza stuffs A&A

Tyler Murray led the offensive charge for the Kluane Drillers, notching five goals and five assists as they crushed Sports North 18-2 in Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League action Sunday.

Tyler Murray led the offensive charge for the Kluane Drillers, notching five goals and five assists as they crushed Sports North 18-2 in Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League action Sunday.

Mark Daniels added five goals and three helpers for the Drillers while Andrew Zinck picked up four goals and two assists. Duane Shewfelt claimed a pair of markers and four assists while Daniel Murray and Pat Anderson each had a goal and three helpers. Bud Arnold finished with eight assists while Rob Pitzel was credited with four assists and Edwin Vanderkley had three.

Dale Kulych and Mike O'Connor found the back of the net for Sports North.

Alwarid & Associates 5

Mike Young contributed four goals and a pair of assists for Boston Pizza in their drubbing of Alwarid & Associates.

Derek Johnstone tacked on three goals and six assists while Dean Mastrangelo had a pair of goals and two helpers. Rob Johnson collected a goal and three assists while Jay Massie added a goal and an assist. Nelson Turnbull was awarded three assists.

Blayne Monahan chipped in two goals and three assists for A&A while David Sembsmoen had two goals and one helper. Marcel Barrault also hit the twine.

Air North Jets 4

Environmental Dynamics 3

Darius Elias netted two goals and an assist for the Air North Jets as they snuck past Environmental Dynamics.

Gerry Grant added a goal and two assists while Wesley Marsh also lit the lamp.

Dan Beaudoin, Bradley Barker and Jeremy Hookham provided the offence for EDI.

Kopper Kings 16

Scoring came from all corners for the Kopper Kings as they grounded Alkan Air.

Larry Daignault notched three goals and five assists for the Kings while Ben Cole had three goals and four helpers. Ryan MacKenzie picked up three goals and two assists while Ryan Hodgins claimed two goals and three assists. John Van Langen tacked on two goals and one helper while Darren Van Langen also scored twice. Graham Carruthers tapped in the other goal while Danny Crawford was credited with two assists.

Brent Mekelburg replied for Alkan with three goals an two assists. Dean Faragher added two goals and two assists while Peter Mostyn had a pair of helpers.

Yukon Appliance Blues 2

Darrell Stuko had a big game for Alwarid & Associates, scoring four goals and adding two assists, as his team overpowered the struggling Yukon Appliance Blues.

Roger Floyd collected two goals and an assist for A&A while Blayne Monahan also found the back of the net. AJ Beacon had three assists while Colin Nash grabbed two helpers.

Cary Goodman and Curtis Goodman scored for the Blues, assisted by Cary and Kenny Anderson (2).

Southern Tutchone Storm 17

Narrow Gauge Contracting 3

Ryan Gleason led the Southern Tutchone Storm with four goals and three assists as they destroyed Narrow Gauge Contracting.

Marlon Allen tacked on three goals and three assists for the Storm while Cody Joe had three goals and two helpers. Scott Horsey picked up two goals and four assists while Wyatt Drift recorded two goals and a pair of assists. Kevin Smith contributed a goal and three assists while Matt Horsey netted a goal and two helpers. Shawn Kolak had a goal and an assist while Cliff Charbonneau was awarded three assists.

Adrian Bergman, Alex Vautour and Byron Gilday hit the twine for Narrow Gauge, with assists going to Vautour and Logan Freese (2).

Dale Kulych was on fire for Sports North, scoring three goals and adding three assists, as his team burned Alkan Air.

Rob Hill added a pair of markers for Sports North while Landon Kulych, Derrick Hynes and Colin Dawe also scored. Wade Hanna was credited with two assists while Kulych and Hynes each had one helper.

Sean McLeish and Brent Byers lit the lamp for Alkan, assisted by Peter Mostyn (2) and Nathan Bingham.

Southern Tutchone Storm 12

Cody Joe and Scott Hume each notched three goals and two assists for the Southern Tutchone Storm as they annihilated Environmental Dynamics.

Marlon Allen added a hat trick for the Storm while Ryan Gleason recorded a pair of goals and two assists. Matt Horsey had a goal and two assists while Jesse Craig finished with three helpers.

Dave Richard scored a pair of goals for EDI while Steve Smith also found the back of the net. Bradley Barker had two assists.
