The team beat ORC Tree Services in a high scoring affair, in which both teams combined to score 12 goals.
The Drillers scored two goals in the final 10 minutes to seal the 7-5 victory on Tuesday.
Kluane came prepared to play in the game, scoring four of their seven goals in the first period and limiting ORC to just two goals in the opening frame.
ORC must win tonight's game in order to avoid losing its best of three game series. Tonight's game is at 8:30 p.m.

Rob Pitzel finished the game with an impressive five points for the Drillers, which was the most points tallied for the team.
Pitzel scored both of his two goals in the second period and added three assists in the victory.
Doug Roberts also contributed two goals for Kluane and added two assists, while Tyler Murray scored twice and finished with one assist.
Mark Daniels scored the remaining goal for the Drillers and added one assist, while Bud Arnold and Matt King finished with two assists.
Other notables on Kluane included Edwin Vanderkley, Pat Anderson and Tim Carroll, who each finished with one assist.
Mike Beauchamp led the way in scoring for ORC, notching two goals in total, while Danny Johnson finished with one goal and one assist.
Mike Wilson scored the team's opening goal in the second period on the power play, while Danny Crawford also scored once for ORC in the loss.
Other notables on the team include Arlo Riordan, who finished with two assists, while Terrance Tait and Jesse Gilday each added one assist.
Air North Jets 3, Northern Cross Midget Mustangs 2
Two late goals in the final 10 minutes of the game weren't enough for the Midget Mustangs, who dropped its first game in semi finals of the 'A' Division on Tuesday.
Air North got off to a strong start in the game, scoring the opening goal less than 10 minutes into the start of the first period.
The Jets added one more goal before the conclusion of the first frame to take a 2-0 lead into the second period.
The Jets increased its lead to 3-0 at the halfway point of the second period before the Mustangs managed to get on the board in the contest.
Scott Horsey contributed on all three goals for Air North, scoring the team's opening goal and then assisting on the two other tallies.
Other goal scorers on the Jets included Darius Elias and Ryan Kinney, who each finished with one, while Matt Horsey contributed two assists.
Daniel Clethroe scored the first goal for the Midget Mustangs and Chris Whynot scored the remaining goal for the team in the loss.
Other notables on the team included Kane Dawe, who finished with two assists and Glen Skookum, who contributed one assist.
The Mustangs are now facing elimination in their best of three series.
The Mustangs finished first in the 'A' Division this season and had an opening round bye.
