Ketza, Pizza Hut will play for title

Pizza Hut and Ketza came out on top in the Tuesday Night Squash League semifinals this week, overpowering Yukon Brewing and Electrical Shop respectively.

Pizza Hut and Ketza came out on top in the Tuesday Night Squash League semifinals this week, overpowering Yukon Brewing and Electrical Shop respectively.

Pizza Hut grabbed 17 points while Ketza picked up 20. The brewing squad took home 12 points while Electrical Shop collected 12.

In the other playoff contest, it was Kilrich taking on Underhill for fifth place, with Kilrich squeaking past the junior junior team 16 points to 15.

Winning their matches for Ketza Tuesday were John Small, Steve Fecteau and Lori Muir. Small swept Electrical's Chris Ziegler, who was filling in for Vince Boutelier, in three games while Fecteau needed five games to beat Al Hammond. Muir defeated Janet Lee in five.

Grayson Peters won the lone match for Electrical. Peters ousted Chris Toleman in four games.

Pierre LaCasse, Blaine Tessier and Rob Schneider were victorious for Pizza Hut. LaCasse, who was subbing for Jim Gilpin, whipped Yukon Brewing's Lee Reeve in three straight games while Tessier, who was playing for Don Emond, got rid of Mark Tubman in five. Schneider, who was filling in for Diane Emond, sent Bob Baxter home in four.

Andrew Corney was the lone victor for Yukon Brewing. Corney fought Michel Gelinas for five games before emerging with the win.

Jean-Francois Roldan, Marie Desmarais and Jeff Seaman picked up the big points for Kilrich. Roldan beat Underhill's Lia Johnson in five games while Desmarais took care of Marc Emond in four. Seaman defeated Julien Revel in five.

Benjamin Vivas-Gelinas replied for Underhill, winning his match over Charlie Hoeller by default.

Pizza Hut and Ketza will now meet in the final next week, where they will battle for Whitehorse squash supremacy. Yukon Brewing and Electrical Shop will face off for third place in the other playoff matchup.
