Johnston named MVP as he scores five for Willow

Lowell Johnston dominated the offence for Willow Printers, notching five goals as his team overpowered UAP/NAPA Auto Parts 13-10 in Whitehorse Minor Hockey Association Bantam Division action Sunday.

Lowell Johnston dominated the offence for Willow Printers, notching five goals as his team overpowered UAP/NAPA Auto Parts 13-10 in Whitehorse Minor Hockey Association Bantam Division action Sunday.

Coty Fraser, Glen Skookum and Daniel Cletheroe added two goals apiece for Willow while Dylan Wills and Kane Dawe also found the back of the net.

Jeff Gartshore recorded a hat trick for NAPA while Kevin Pike and Daniel McGowan each netted a pair of goals. Nicholas Swizdaryk, Eddy Oulton and Jeremy Nugent also hit the twine.

The MVP for Willow was Johnston while the MVP for NAPA was Gartshore.

Medicine Chest Pharmacy 9

Bumper to Bumper 6

Ted Stephens was on fire for Medicine Chest Pharmacy, potting five goals as they burned Bumper to Bumper.

Evan Campbell and Jeff Gartshore added two goals apiece for Medicine Chest.

Lawrence Brennan collected a hat trick for Bumper while Daniel McGowan, Tanner Kulych and Dylan Gower also scored.

Goaltender Burt Stephens was named MVP for Medicine Chest while the MVP for Bumper was Brennan.

Pee Wee Division

Castle Rock Enterprises 9

Skookum Construction 2

Aaron Hutchinson led Castle Rock Enterprises with four goals as they denied Skookum Construction.

Ryley O'Connor added a hat trick for Castle Rock while Dalton Edzerza and Tavis Sturko tacked on the additional goals.

Derek Anderson picked up both goals for Skookum.

The MVP for Castle Rock was Hutchinson while the MVP for Skookum was Derek Anderson.

Atom Division

Gem Gas 7

Locksmith Services 5

Brayden Kulych posted four goals for Gem Gas as they downed Locksmith Services.

Patrick Soprovich and Jared Hrycan each added a goal and an assist for Gem Gas while Cody Lessard also lit the lamp. Brady Bonnycastle finished with two assists while Ben Pereira and Noah Hutchinson each had one helper.

Harold Risby recorded a hat trick for Locksmith while Mike Arnold claimed a pair of goals. Sameen Bhutlar, Brandon Langenhan and Mathew McCarthy were each credited with an assist.

Polaris Predators 6

Pearson Dental 4

Scoring came from all corners for the Polaris Predators as they took a bite out of Pearson Dental.

Riley Pettitt notched a pair of goals and an assist for Polaris while Hannah Woodwalker, Cody Park, Thomas Mills and Bradley Koprowsky also scored. Graeme Close, Gage Aird and Lowell Tait were each credited with an assist.

Michael Hare recorded two goals and two assists for Pearson Dental. Chris Anderson and Mason Gray tacked on a goal apiece while Trevor Whynot had an assist.
