Jackson leads Pepsi to 4-1 win

New dad Phil Jackson overcame sleepless nights and dirty diapers to turn in a powerful performance

New dad Phil Jackson overcame sleepless nights and dirty diapers to turn in a powerful performance as his Pepsi side defeated Quest Computers 4-1 in over-35 soccer action.

Jackson showed no signs of fatigue Saturday, scoring two brilliant goals to lead his side over goal-shy Quest at the Canada Games Centre.

Nova Scotia’s finest, Gord Barker, and Irishman Mark O’Brien got the other Pepsi goals, while Andy Todd added one to his tally for Quest.

The early game between Klondike Business Solutions and Yukon Brewing ended tied 4-4, the highlight coming from Arnold Hedstrom’s boot as he pinged in a beauty for KBS.

In a game with many chances for both sides, it was impossible to separate the two teams at the end.

Alongside Hedstrom, KBS’ other scorers were David Rayo (2) and Pierre-Luc Lafrance, with David Strachan, Guliano Rayo and guests O’Brien and Barker each getting one.
