Ice Breaker a nice warmup for River Quest participants

There were 21 participants in the inaugural Ice Breaker canoe and kayak race in Whitehorse on Sunday.

There were 21 participants in the inaugural Ice Breaker canoe and kayak race in Whitehorse on Sunday.

The Yukon River Quest donated $250 in prize money, and it was as follows:

$50 for the first womens canoe, Liz Bosely and Pat MCKenna;

$50 for first male canoe,

Tim Hodgson (donated back to the prize purse);

$50 for top male kayaker, Greg McHale;

$50 for top youth, Dylan Stewart;

$50 for the top 'old school bathtub canoe', Jim and Lee Hawkings.
