Deadly Doug Hitch has made an early play for the golden boot in the local old-timer soccer league.

The Pepsi sniper scored for the second straight game as his team outgunned Quest Computers 4-3 in early morning action Saturday at the Canada Games Centre.

Hitch is rolling back the years and showing the younger players where the back of the net is with his instinctive play.

Also scoring for Pepsi were Percy Fowler, Chris Stacey and Paul Inglis, fresh off the injury reserve.

Timothy Fawehinmi, Leonard Linklater and David Rayo replied for Quest Computers.

The late game saw Klondike Business Solutions defeat a highly fatigued Yukon Brewing side 5-1.

As normal, Danny Macdonald led the way with two well-taken goals.

Also scoring was Adil Khalik – who sniped a bullet – while Doc Bousquet and Jason Steel rounded off the scoring with one apiece.

Bob Baxter got a consolation score for the Brew.
