Three-goal efforts by Gordon Kuchler and Ross Phillips helped their respective teams to victory in Old-timers' hockey action Sunday evening at Takhini Arena.

Medicine Chest 6, Klondyke Dental Clinic 3

Phillips didn't get on the scoreboard until 6:35 of the first period but his goal gave Medicine Chest a 3-2 lead going into the final frame. At exactly three minutes into the second period, Phillips potted what would be the winning goal and capped off his hat trick performance with less than 1:10 to play.

Paul Sahagian of the Klondyk Dental Clinic brought his team within one goal at the halfway juncture, but the Medicine Chest's Bill Bohmer added a goal to Phillips' second period pair to help ice the victory.

Performance Centre Turbos 5, Kilrich Industries 4

It was a close contest, but Gord Kuchler's hat trick and teammate Woody Bennett's late second-period insurance goal sealed the Turbos' win. Kuchler put his team on the board at 15:39 of the first period but Kilrich's John Skilnyk answered back two minutes later.

But Turbos' speedy centreman Bernie Adilman earned back the lead and the period ended Turbos 2, Kilrich 1. Kuchler expanded that lead at 11:33 of the second, but two quick goals from Kilrich's Joel Witten and Mike Blower tied the game. While Kuchler completed his hat trick at the 7:50 mark, giving the Turbos a 4-3 lead, but Bennett's goal at 2:06 would turn out to be the winner. Though Kilrich's Witten battled hard to scoring with just 23 seconds remaining the Turbos hung on to record the win.
