With league play scheduled to continue as long as weather permits, league leader Matthew Grant may have been hoping for an early snow fall as second place Jesse Devost continued to gain ground Tuesday night and now sits nine points out of top spot.

For the second week in a row Devost led the field shooting a sparkling six under 50.

Alone in second was Dan Reimer with a two under 54, and just behind him was a group of four players at one under 55: Alastair Smith, Carl Pearce, Howard Chymy and Matthew Grant.

Pearce has made a considerable move over the past several weeks and last night moved up one more spot into eighth.

Sitting at third overall in the league, Vince Fedoroff was under considerable pressure this night as he had to complete his round and then be off to press the flesh of Mickey Rooney, who arrived at the Eric Nielsen International Airport last night.

It was hoped Mr. Rooney would be the key note speaker at the Disc Golf Rules Committee luncheon but regrettably his schedule would not permit.

The top 10 in league standings as of Sept. 7 are:

1 Matthew Grant – 159.5

2 Jesse Devost – 150.5

3 Vince Fedoroff – 122.0

4 Dan Reimer – 102.0

5 Howard Chymy – 89.0

6 David Griffiths – 80.0

7 Alastair Smith – 74.5

8 Carl Pearce – 65.0

9 Richard Vladars – 63.5

10 Alex Oberg – 39.0

And a special note regarding next week's league play: tee times will be moved up to a 6:30 p.m. start.
