Whitehorse's Grade 7 elementary school soccer teams are heading to the pitch Friday to battle it out for the top spot in the 2009 Yukon Elementary School Soccer Championship.

Organizer Dave Stockdale is expecting enthusiastic games, barring any extreme weather. In previous years the elementary school championships have had to be cancelled due to snow.
