Goals came fast and furious Saturday morning at the Canada Games Centre.

In an absorbing old-timer soccer league game that bristled with action and incident, it was perhaps a fair result that Klondike Business Solutions (KBS) and Quest Computers couldn’t be separated, with the early game finishing 4-4.

KBS was once again led by the peerless Danny Macdonald with two goals, while the ageless Jim Connell and Grant Zazula added singles.

KBS spent much of the game playing catchup as Quest established a commanding lead thanks to Timothy Fawehinmi and an own goal – only to be see their advantage cancelled out before the final whistle blew.

In the late game, the mighty Bruno Boucache capped a fine match with a deft goal, helping his team to a 5-3 win over Pepsi.

Boucache was assisted by English duo Jim Brown and Andy Todd, who netted a hat trick.

Other key contributors were the majestic Mark O’Brien on defence, and ’keeper George Maratos, who prowled the crease like a tiger.

Paul Inglis responded for Pepsi, as did hotshot Eric Murphy with two goals to increase his scoring streak to three games, but it was not enough to peg the Brew back.
