Four goals propels EVF Fuelwood to victory in U-12 Soccer League

Three goal scorers and solid defensive play helped EVF Fuelwood get the victory on Wednesday in the U-12 Soccer League.

Three goal scorers and solid defensive play helped EVF Fuelwood get the victory on Wednesday in the U-12 Soccer League.


U-12 Soccer League: June 4

EVF Fuelwood 4, Woodhouse Bus.Con 1

Emille St. Pierre played an outstanding game for EVF Fuelwood, leading all goal scores with two in total.

The team's other scorers were Kanoa Jones and Kieran Halliday, while the MVP was Jarett Steinbeck.

Wyatt Gale scored the lone goal for Woodhouse Bus.Con and the team's MVP was Ryan Chippet.


Boston Pizza 6, Eldorado Ranch 2

Trent Pumphrey had a solid game with a goal and two helpers and Chase Hobbis scored two beauties as he tip toed through the Ranchers defense.

Tori Knutsen was named as MVP for Boston Pizza for stellar defensive play and a no fear attitude.

Tanner Borsa scored both goals for Eldorado Ranch on long range rockets, which were both set up by MVP Wesley Freeman.

Honorable mention goes to Charlie Schofield for cheering both teams on from the sidelines.


U-13 Soccer League: June 3

Physio Plus 5, Whitehorse Star 2

Team MVP Scott Peterson and Tyler Koenen combined for four of Physio Plus's five goals against the Whitehorse Star. Each player scored twice in the victory.

The team's other goal scorer was Youjie Blackburn.

Scorers for the Whitehorse Star were Graham Mainer-Pearson and Shae-Lynn Boyle, while Chris Dick was named as MVP.


Assante Financial 3, Re/Max 1

Three goal scorers chipped in during Assante Financial's game against Re/Max on Tuesday.

Matt Mccarthy, Melissa Collins and Sameen McCarthy all scored in the victory, while Jessica Christensen was named as MVP.

Re/Max's lone goal scorer was Cassidy Griffis and the team's MVP was Mairi Fraser.


U-16 Soccer League: June 3

EBA 7, Mic Mac Toyota 7

Alex Lindsay and Travis Wilson led the way in goals for EBA, each scoring twice.

The team's other goal scorers were Michael Hunter, David Ratcliffe and MVP Clare Pugh.

Mic Mac Toyota had plenty of offensive help from Kurtis Hills, Joel Brennan and Tyson Baxter. Each player finished with two goals.

Mic Mac Toyota's remaining goal scorer was Garet Heynen and its MVP was Jennifer MacKeigan.


U-7 Soccer League: June 3

Coldwell Banker had two stellar performances from Kaelen Troke and Brianna Heal. Troke was named as the team's MVP, while Heal was awarded with the star player honours.

Jarod McColloch was named as M&M Meatballs' MVP, while the star player of the game went to Jamie Phillips-Freedman.

Hanna King and Maria Vasseur showed off their skills for Envirolube Tuesday. King was named as the team's MVP, while Vasseur finished the contest with star player mention.

The Eagles named Manas Toews as its MVP and Jake Charleton as the star player.

Silver Spoke Adventure's MVP was Mary Londero, while the team's star player was Jude Slater.


Soccer Tots League:

Alexander Schultz and Naden Qually showcased their athleticism in the Soccer Tots League. Both players were won the best kick award.

The most enthusiastic award went to Amaya Kingston and Gavin O'Connor.
