Both Tim Hortons and the AON Flames dropped games at Takhini Arena, sending them to the sidelines alongside Air North and Medicine Chest.
Firth’s Mike Gau scored a hat trick to lead his team of seven skaters to a 5-4 upset victory over Tim Hortons.
Stu Mackay and Ron Daub added singles in the win, while Lawrence Ignace, Lorne Burnett, Walt Liley and Wynn Griffith found mesh for Tims.
In the early game, Blayne Monahan netted a pair of goals – including the winner – as Yukon Inn downed AON 6-2.
Adam Green, Rick Seaman, Rick Gingell and Derek Torgerson added singles in the win, while Neil Schafer and Gary Vantell responded for AON.
Playoffs continue tonight with EDI facing Kilrich, and Yukon Inn taking on the Firth Rangers.
EDI and Kilrich both remain unbeaten entering tonight’s action while both Yukon Inn and Firth have lost once.
The finals for the double-elimination format playoffs are set for April 6 and April 8 (if necessary) at the Canada Games Centre.
EDI won the regular-season title with a record of 32-5-5. EDI sniper Greg Charlie led the league with 88 points, including 50 goals.
