As the disc golf season progresses and players round into form, every week it becomes harder and harder to top the field.

Tuesday night was no exception, as a mere three strokes separated first from fifth place.

For many, the focus was on the battle for league supremacy, as Jesse Devost leads Matthew Grant by a slim four-point margin.

But it was Vince Fedoroff who stole the show Tuesday, with a four under 52, to edge out Grant by onestroke and Devost by two.

The win for Fedoroff was his second in a row.

During the post game interview, Fedoroff acknowledged that part of the reason for his improved play of late can be attributed to an equipment change, which has seen him move to lighter discs.

Fedoroff's win moves him solidly into third place in the standings, and Grant's second place finish cut Devost's lead to three points.

Also posting sub-par rounds were Lew Piercey and Carl Pearce, both with one-under 55's.

Next week's league night will be the player's last chance to fine-tune their game, in advance of the first big tournament of the year, the Bushwacker Open.

This 36 hole tournament takes place on Saturday, July 31st at the Mount Mac course.

Registration starts at 11 a.m. and the two rounds will be played in a shotgun format, at noon and 3 p.m. respectively.

Players of all ages and abilities are invited to enter.

There will be four player categories: men's, women's, junior's (under 16) and senior's (50-and-over).

Registration is $20 for adults and $10 for juniors.
