Early in the day it appeared Mother Nature might be the winner on Tuesday, but the wind came up, the skies cleared and conditions were great for a hotly contested round of disc golf, with only two strokes separating first from fourth place.

League leader Jessie Devost was given all he could handle by the veteran Vince Fedoroff and they wound up tied with solid two-under-54's.

Fedoroff had the early lead, posting a one-under-27 on the front nine, and seemed likely to prevail after birdies on 15 and 16 moved him to four-under.

But as he approached the tee on 17, the wind really picked up and Fedoroff struggled with a bogie, bogie finish.

Devost on the other hand had, by his standards, a rather ordinary front nine finishing at par, but did show some real talent with birdies on 14 and 18 to come from behind for the tie.

Matthew Grant and Dave Griffiths were both hard on the heels of Devost and Fedoroff, with scores of 55 and 56 respectively. Grant's downfall came very late in the match with a bogie on 18, battling the same winds that sank Fedoroff's chances.

Griffiths' mishaps were earlier in the round, when bogies at six and seven put him into red numbers.

The highlight of the night goes to Carl Pearce, who had a spectacular eagle two on the second hole. Congratulations Carl. That's the first ever eagle on number two in league play.
