The Yukon Brewing Copperhaul Twister League refuse to quit.

The league will hold its final race of the winter season on Sunday at Uncommon Journeys (kilometre 2.5 on Scout Lake Road: travel west on the Alaska Highway towards Haines Junction, turn left onto the Old Alaska Highway and left again onto Scout Lake Road).

There will be an all new 11.5 mile trail that travels into the stunning Ibex Valley for the main race and a 3.5 mile trail for the kids and pet dog event.

Registration will be at 10 a.m. sharp at the start line on Scout Lake Road, followed by the mushers meeting and bib draw.

Categories will include four to six dogs for sleds, two to four dogs for skijorers, the one pet dog and the one to four dogs for the kids race.

For the first time ever the Copperhaul Twister league will hold an open class race (no limit on dogs) for those daring enough to give it a shot.

The newest event will use the same 11.5 mile trail and start immediately after the main race. This event will be for prizes only and not count for points in the league.

First prize for the open class race will be a sled bag donated by Bombproof Outdoor Gear.

Following the race, the awards ceremony will be hosted by Drag ‘N' Fly Kennels on the Old Alaska Highway, where organizers will hand out the prizes for the Ibex Finale Race day and the league prizes.
