Coldwell Banker claim gold at this year's Yukon novice hockey tourney
This year's Yukon Novice Spirit of 2010 Hockey Tournament wound up Sunday in Haines Junction with Coldwell Banker of Whitehorse edging out Envirolube, also of Whitehorse in a nail-biting 3-2 gold medal game.

In an earlier match-up for the bronze medal, Precision Research defeated Yukon Office Supply 5-1.
Battling for fifth place, a combined team from Dawson, Faro and Teslin scored a single goal with one minute left to play to defeat tournament host Haines Junction.
About 85 boys and girls from throughout the Yukon played in the this year's tournament.
Four teams from Whitehorse, a combined team from Dawson, Faro and Teslin, and a team from Haines Junction fought it out in the round robin portion of the tournament on Friday and Saturday.
Then Sunday morning, every team moved into the play-off round.
The weekend focused on fun and celebrating amateur sport, physical fitness and the spirit of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Every player received a medal, a Spirit of 2010 hockey puck and a souvenir poster, plus door prizes at the tournament banquet on Saturday night.
Organizers had even thrown in a couple of games at night for the adults so it wasn't just the kids that had fun this weekend.
Major supporters of the tournament were Haines Junction Minor Hockey Association, the Village of Haines Junction, the Yukon Amateur Hockey Association and the organizing committee for the 2010 Olympics and Paralympics in Vancouver.
One of the highlights of the weekend was recognition at the banquet of the players between the pipes, the goalies.
Campbell Burdenie of the Coldwell Banker team was recognized for having the best Goals Against Average during the round robin portion of the tournament, while five Haines Junction goalies - Dawson Weir, Brittney Eckervogt-Brewster, Josh Dulac, Jacob Dulac and Ole Heath - were noted for being the Goalies with the Biggest Hearts.
The organizers want to thank everyone that helped to put on the tournament.
