There have only been two weeks of play so far in this season's Thursday Night Squash League, but with three teams tied for second place it's hard to image the competition being any tighter.

After having a first week bye, the Electrical Shop got off to an amazing start, scoring 21 of a possible 24 points.

Electrical Shop is currently in sixth place in the seven team league and just five points out of fifth place.

Last week's top team, Kumon Learning had a bye on Thursday and is in seventh place with 19 points.

Electrical Shop 21, Northern Lights Optometry 14

Mike Marcusson, David Buckler and Carmen Margo each chipped in six points for the Electrical Shop, while fellow teammate Tara Matechuk also had a stellar outing, notching three points.

Katrina Russell led Northern Lights Optometry in scoring with six points, while Eric Irvine and Patti Flather each scored three points in the team's loss.

EMCO 15, Underhill 11

Lara Trotter and Randi Cave each scored six points for EMCO, while Lisa Gudbranson finished with four points in the team's victory.

EMCO improved on its point total from one week ago by three and is currently tied for second place along with Northern Lights Optometry and Underhill with 27 points in total.

Sophia Flather scored more than half of Underhills points with six, while Amy Leech finished with four.

Sterling Insurance 19, Uniglobe Specialty Travel 11

Three players on Sterling Insurance finished with six points, which included Neisha Bicudo, Darrin Sinclair and Andrea Burgoyne.
