CLOSE CALL – Stephan Burdess, 21, lunges to hit the birdie during a practise match against Seth Rofondi and coach Lynn Oettli at the Takhini Elementary School gym Wednesday night. The two players are part of the Whitehorse High Performance Youth Badminton Club which practises Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays with hopes to compete in the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax, N.S.
